Fire From The Gods - 2 Song Sampler [2009]

Fire From The Gods is a hardcore/meatlcore band hailing from Austin Texas.
The band consists of Vocals: Michael, Guitar: Drew, Guitar: Tony, Bass: Jacob, Drums: Andrew (none of those people being related to me, sadly). The band expects to release their debut album "Sleeping With Anchors & Mirrors", sometime late this fall according to their MySpace. Their lyrics (from what I can make out) seem blatantly Christian but the band doesn't profess Christianity on their MySpace. We'll have to see about that; (for all you that would be curious) I did see them play a church!

Anyways, check out these two songs, and expect great things from this band!

goodtimes in Leander, TX

I'm at the heart of a city right now, surrounded pu passing traffic and the sounds of terrible music playing from the outsides of small restaraunts trying to attract some kind of audience, that perhaps actually enjoys terrible music. I'm not really so sure as to what the management is thinking, but this blog isn't about terrible music. This about Me at the docters office.

As I was typing that first paragraph i was in the waiting room. At this time I have seen the nurse. I tell how my stomach has been bothering me, and of how I've had the worst headaches. She suggests dehydration but I tell how I drink tons of water, but she doesn't believe me. So now I'm waiting for the docter... She's probably right, but how much water do I need to drink. I downed nearly 3 liters of smart water Tuesday (my mom had a little of it) and I've been grabbing bottles everytime I get the chance. Hmm I really don't know. But I feel guilty for some reason. If it is because I don't drink enough water, does that make me a bad person? That's how I feel. Oh well... I'm waiting for the docter. Bored bored bored, what should I tweet about?

Doc just came in, he thinks it's a virus. Haha, dehydration, give me a break lady! Well they're gonna run a few tests on me. First up is strep. Just did it. Fun fun fun when they stick a long, skinny, white stick down your throat. For a mono test they need my blood. I hate that... Ahhh! Waiting again...

A blood test really isn't my favorite thing to wait for. It's not like a new car, or a first kiss, it's much much less satisfying when it finally arrives, and all one gets out of it is a whole in the skin and a bandage.

She just stabbed my finger, and sqeezed blood out of it. This was actually sort of funny in an awkward, slightly morbid kind of way. Afterwards she applied a cotton ball to my finger, telling me to "hold it up over my heart and wait"... Where is my heart anyways?

I wouldn't mind a bathroom right now. Isn't it down the hall? I have to pee.

It's all over... I'm sent out and I was prescribed some kind of pill for my sinuses but doc suspects it's just a virus. Hope I get better before school starts in a week, and Im about to pee now, so bye!

Thanks for reading!

getting free music on the web.

Looks sons, I'm going to be posting up some music for whoever reads this to check out. most of it will most likely be small bands, because those are the ones I have trouble finding. For downloading music from larger bands I'd recommend downloading torrent software such as Vuze and searching for torrents on a good engine like ISOhunt. Some of you may prefer P2P file sharing services such as Limewire or Frostwire, which I find annoying and highly unreliable. For others who like nice organized full free albums, I would recommend the other method.

If you're having difficulty finding something try the blogs I have listed on the right side of the page. I will be providing more as I find them. Another method I'd like to throw out there can be tricky. There are websites you can go to that search up file hosting sites like mediafire and rapidshare for particular files. Here is a good site I found some stuff on.

The last message I would like to tell is one of the oldest in the books. "MySpace Rips" - I'm guessing you've heard of them, or seen it somewhere. YES KIDS, it is possible to download free music straight from myspace. Last time I checked the service wasn't running, but hopefully it will be up again soon. File2HD.com is a great way to get your favorite bands most recent songs instantly (as long as the service is running). If it gets back up again I might provide a tutorial on how to use it, only because I found it a bit confusing at first.

But guys, remember, if you really like an artist, SUPPORT THEM AND BUY THEIR MUSIC!

Thanks, that all I wanted to tell at the moment. <3 (show some heart)

pretty cool huh? I hate my internet!

chillin at the dps

I'm having so much fun here homies. In fact I think I've never had this much fun waiting for my liscence. Wait... You think I'm serious? This is completely unfun, and i'm being completely unserious.

When we got here the systerm was at 65 and the number they gave us is like 38!!! What is wrong with that?... Idk, you tell me. I've been here forever and we haven't even reached 80 yet!

My mom wants to check her Facebook so I guess I'll write a new blog after I get my liscence renewed and I'll tell "ya'll" what it's like to be driving againnn.!

Bye.

P.S. Good-bye

cut down all of the trees and name the streets after them

I know that sounds terrible but that's how Americans think. My mom used to teach in a neighborhood were streets were named Maple and Cedar. Of course we didn't really have Maple trees but there's quite a few Cedars in the area, and I'm sure they cut a few to make that place.

I don't how this relates to anything. I'm too tired to type anything else. Our family was at Ryan's big birthday celebration forever! I'll be home in minutes, and possibly in bed. It's going to be nice...

I'm done writing stuff. Good night.

at the autoparts

So I'm at the autoparts store with my mom, and she's talking to her old children friends that run the store. I've been here quite awhile and I figured now woul be the perfect time for a new blog.

Let's see, what has happened lately... We got our Geo Metro inspected. Went pretty smothly, but the guy there recommend we pick up this filter because we barely passed that emissions test! So that brought us to were we are now.

In other news, why doesn't the iPhone have a tab key? And my left thumb hurts! I believe it's from too much texting. Uh oh...

Sometimes I feel like I don't have enough to talk about to have a blog.

I guess I could give a few vegan snack ideas. For anyone who didn't know, I love carbs. Bread is my favorite! And I love my bread toasted! So one thing I like to do is toast 2 peices of bread and put some olive oil on one peice and basalmic vinegar on the other. Then I add some garlic and dill, and some of that Mrs. Dash stuff. For an extra spiceness add a bit of Tabasco.

Another tasty carb filled snack is the famous is the famous PB&J. I would go into detail on how to make one, but my mom is threatening to change the air filter without me. Haha, what a threat ;)

2nd Post: Basic Stuffs

yo fools. this is my second blog. i'm pretty much new to this game. i've been tweeting quite a bit the last couple of months and it's sort of been my introduction to blogging but sometimes there's more to be said than you can squeeze into a 140 character tweet. i know i'm past that already. if anybody is actually reading my blog at this point you probably don't have a life... or maybe i'm just a lot cooler than i think. i decided that this blog isn't going to be restrained to just one topic, instead i could talk about anything. God, movies, music, drugs, sex, miscarriages, pets, or ceiling fans. you really don't know what i'm going to throw at you.

i guess a good intro might be telling my readers a bit about myself. currently i am a senior in high school (or at least i will be come next school year), i live in Jonestown, TX (outside of Austin), I am strong Christian (that's why you won't see me throwing around F-bombs or talk about cutting people's hearts open and drinking their blood), I SWEAR that I am not a vampire, and also I am a vegan. (meaning i am a strict vegetarian, no egg, no dairy) and i do this vegan thing because i love animals, and why would kill something you love? If you can't tell already I value life strongly, and especially human life, that's why i am strongly anti-abortion. also i pretty much let music consume me, (but i still put God first). I am in this cool Christian band called I Saw This Coming (& we have a MySpace)

That's pretty much it, thanks. <3

Show Some Heart (Go Vegan)

This is basically what I live my life by. These lyrics, and the bible of course ;)

The weak are getting weaker.
And the youth are dead or pacified.
Your living your tv dream.
While the innocent are bred to die...
I'll take a stand for those who cant.
I'll scream for those who can't speak.
Caged and slaughtered.
A life of misery.
Just to line the pockets of rich companies.
While we suck at the hand of media and corporations.
We grow fat and sedated.
We kill and destroy...
Our life is over consumption.
Go vegan
